Nostart Condition again..

My 1987 325i has been running used (third owner maybe) for about two and half years no problems put about 75 miles on top of 140,000 with in that time. One day after i stopped at a new auto car wash to get the salt and dirt off. I headed down the road home. The car started to shutter and putter i gave it a little throttle and it came back. At that moment I got over to the slow lane just in case it died and I could get over and off the highway. I figured something had gotten wet and needed a little time to dry.
Since than it has died on me three times and two requiring to be towed. I have replaced the main and fuel pump relay before the last tow home. I was able to operate the fuel pumps with the jumper suggested in the Bentley manual some times it would work and than it wouldn't. So I figure it was the main pump and replaced it. Did it work 'nope' now I can't get power to the pumps with the jumper connected at the relay or from ECU connection. So i guess i am wondering is what controls power to the pumps or am I looking for a broken wire somewhere?...

well I found the problem..

It wasn't the relays and main fuel pumps but i have new ones now. Everything check out fine sensors,DME, grounds (which have been cleaned. What i did find was the electrical connections for both fuel pumps are located. One single wire comes from the fuel pump relay and joins two wires one goes to the transfer pump and one to the main pump in a bundle of wires on the driverside under the rear seat. At that connection there was a lot of corrosion and found that the wires had corroded and came loose which solved the no power to pumps...well know I have go and put the car back together.

I hope this helps someone else out there with this problem.
