				Ignition

I have a 1996 328is. Last night I tried to turn the car off to no avail. so I blocked the airflow to turn off the car. The ignition is still in the "on" position so I disconnected the neg on the battery.

I stuck the key back in and if I wiggle it a little it'll turn forward and it will do a 360 and the key can be taken out any time. I'm guessing it's the ignition switch. Can anyone confirm this? Can anyone tell me if this is a simple DIY? If some one could provide me with a DIY that would be great. |

That's some good info. I'm not so sure it's my tumbler. I'm thinking it's the ignition switch. I was hoping to find a DIY before I have my car end up like the one in that link you gave me.
