Interested in buying 95 325

I'm thinking of buying a 1995 325i manual. It has 127000 miles. Is there anything that I should watch out for in a car that age. Should I replace anything right away? How long do they run before they start to cause headaches with repairs and etc. ? The car is at an auction so I can't ask the former owner anything - kind-of going into this blind. The car looks really clean and looks like it has been well kept from what I can tell - especially the interior. Looks like someone took good care of it. Any input would be appreciated.

Also, one more thing... i'm 20 years old - would insurance be really high on it or is it old enough to keep the price down?

Insurance on M3's seems to be very high but I'll bet a 325 is not too bad.

You should expect to do some work to any car that is 127k old. If you have access to a garage and an average set of tools you can do most thing yourself.

Thanks! I read the article that you provided but was wondering- since the car has 127000 on it, is it reasonable to think that some if not most of those repairs have already been done to the car? If they aren't replaced at the recomeded times that the thread said - do they break around there themselves? Meaning- the former owner would have been forced to replace or repair the named problems.
Thanks!

Most of the time suspension bushings do not fail catastrophically but they will cause aligment and tire wear issues. The radiator has probably been replaced. It is possible that the clutch is still original.

Buying a car at auction is risky. It would be nice if you could have the car checked by a mechanic.
