Compression Reading?HELP?
Hello, I have 93 325i and my headgasket blew. My comperssion test reading was 1-195,2-147,3-121,4-83,5-25,6-18(all dry only). It blew due to my clutch had out my fan.The oil and water have mixed(milky). MY question is does this still sound repairable??
FYI_No, the car does start due to NO compression thanx in advance |

damn those compression readings dont sound too good at all..
youre gonna have to take the head off and hope the gasket is the only thing that blew. find a good motor shop in your area and see what they can do. you'll want to have it pressure tested first to make sure the head didnt crack.. the shop i took it to says its real rare for bmw though. then i'd have them clean it while you have it out, and replace the valveseals, and maybe a valvejob, unless thats been done recently. also have them plane the head so its perfectly flat. mine was real muddy sludge inside so it was extra, ended up being $420, they originally quoted $300 for all the work though.. but you definitely dont wanna be driving that thing like that |
