I, and every one else, recommend a Bently repair manual. Pelican might have a door panel removal procedure in the tech info section.

The door panel removal is not difficult, once it is off the problem should be apparent.

realoem.com should get you a diagram and part numbers

It might actually be your door handle that is broken. If that is the case and it is a front door you will have to remove the door glass to replace it. I've had a couple of doors apart and the linkages don't look to be a weak point at all. The problem I kept running into was the lever that presses down on the release mechanism broke and as far as I know they can't be fixed or welded.

Thanks for your help! Ive got the handle loose and now see that the glass is in the way.,just as you say.Do you have any tips on the glass removal? I dont want to screw this up. Thanks again. Also, it appears the lever that presses down on the release mechanism is missing.I checked in the bottom of the door but did not find it.

To remove the glass you will need to pull up on the interior weather striping and remove it, you'll also need to pull out the rear window track it should just unbolt, and then just remove the spring cips on the slidersand pull it up and out. When you go to put the glass back in if your sliders are still good go ahead and just put the clips in the fully on position and snap the regulator back in it is easier that way. ad just make sure the window is back in the track. The lever is in there just probably mixed in with the door latch. It sounds like you already have the handle loose and I forgot to tell you to slide the handle cover release spring back whien you get the handle out you'll see what I mean. It is accessed through the little plug on the rear over the door.
