92 BMW 325i climate control won't come on...
HELP!,
Six months ago I replaced the blower motor and blower resister in my 325i. The climate control worked for a while, then started working off and on. Now I have nothing, no AC, Heat, blower, nothing. The compressor will not turn on. The lights in my climate control don't even work. I've checked the fuses under the hood and they appear to be ok. I've even went to the salvage yard and replaced the climate control unit and the brain behind and underneath it with no results. Any help would be Greatly appreciated... Thanks in Advance, Stirling |

On some models there are ore fuses and relays under the dash. A Bentley manual will tell you where to look but they can be hard to find. Actually on the late E36's I thought they were near the blower resistor.

I have the same problem with climate control. In last few days it is started to work off and on. Now it's all gone, just like at your car... Fuses under hood are OK.
Did You or anybody else found what shuold be checked or changed? Please help! Thanks, Kresho |

Sorry, but no. To make matters worse, my local mechanics will not even touch the electrical system on a BMW. If I can't figure it out soon, I'll be forced to take it 60 miles away to the BMW dealer$$$ Hope you have better luck than I did...

There a lots of threads on bf.c
Here is one: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=345666 There is a resistor that commonly dies but can be replaced on the cheap. This may be your problems(s).

Hi,
On Saturday I repaired my climate control. I just followed instructions from link: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/foru...ad.php?t=345666 I used tantalum capacitor 0.47microF and 35V. For capacitor I paid 5kuna (0.7euro) and I needed approximately 1 hour to do complete all work. |
