Hmm, is that possible? I've never seen an e36 with rear head rests. I would gather if there was an option, you'd need a different rear seat back that would accept the head rest posts.

I tend to think rear head rests would reduce rear window visability as well.

I've seen a guy selling kits on EBAY for an E30 convertible, but never seen how it's done.

I wonder if the rear seat back from a convert fit a coupe? Seems like it would, although nothing is ever that easy.

I doubt it would be the same, but you might be able to install the headrests from the cabriolet into the coupe. I beg to ask the question why you would go about this though...

LOL. Wayne, you always seem to look at different projects from a 'why to' standpoint, & many of us look at them as a 'why not to' standpoint.

I guess you can make an argument as 'why to' add strut bars, intake kits, & a vast array of other items that add no measurable value, or limited measurable value at best, but many of us say 'why not' add these things to make our rides different from the rest.

I guess there is no real reason to add rear head rests to a coupe, except for the fact that you just don't see any that do.

Did you jut say, bling.

Anyway, I thought I saw an 97-98 M3 coupe with rear headrests because I noticed the owner was mounting his track camera to the posts.

Yah, I especially like the 'rice' look abomination on the rear tail lamps. Some folks just don't get it.

Hmm, you're probably right. Maybe because it's because I've got two kids under three years, or I'm working on a M52 Supercharger kit right now, or my Boxster project with a 997 motor. Don't want to sound stuck up, but I like projects that add performance and/or styling. Head rests? Okay, maybe if I've got a bunch of time to kill over a few weekends, but since I got married, those days of carefree wrenching are long gone. I guess I need to maximize my wrench time into performance projects...
