How to get M3 power for my 328i?
Hello,
101 Performance Projects # 22 discusses blowers. Alright my E36 may get 270hp with a blower. The M3 may get 347hp. Why the difference. Does it have a larger engine? Is it in the m3 cams? I mean if your going to blow 5 grand on the engine you most certainly would want 350 HP. I would have a hard time with only 80hp for $5000. And if it is in the cams I think I may try Project 11 and replace the cams first then maybe a blower later. Any links for getting info on power upgrade would be appreciated. Thanks, Rob

I agree with the 80hp for 5k issue. Thats why I dont have one.
I thought the difference was not only cams but stroke and pistons but I'm just a layman. Of course there is also intake and exhaust and probably a host of other internals to allow for a higher redline. Don't spend 5k to up the hp on a 328. It would be better spent getting an M3 for so many reasons.
