Ignition problem
seems my 91 318I isn't firing @ the #3 coil
I've checked for volts at the connector it was good When I checked for resistenance however I got none I'm not sure the direction I should go next Any ideas???? Thanks ED:( |
i don't know the 318, but are there individual coil packs for each cylinder? if all other coils are operating properly, and receiving adequate voltage, and said coil is receiving adequate voltage, but no output, then bad coil.

Try swapping coils from the bad cylinder to a good cylinder , and see if your miss moves with the coil, if it does, bad coil, if not and the coil is not getting the correct signal, hmm.. dme unit, cam sensor, wiring???
