transmission light comes on
The 1993 bmw 325I had the top end work and is completed by a relative. It was about 1/2 qt low of transmission fluid low because it leaked out when the radiator was taken out. I filled it back with trans fluid. Now when I drive the car the transmission light comes on and there is no power but if I turn off the car and start it back up the car has power and the transmission light goes off.
Today I drove the car and when i put it in park the transmisssion light came on and there was very little power. Is it possible that I have a defect sensor and its not the transmission that is low in fluid. Any help would be appreciated. |

Hopefully it is still low. Did you follow the proper procedure when topping it up?
