91 E30 318ic

Greetings,
I have a 91 318IC with 138,000; Want to change the water pump because I know they usually go actually before this mileage;
Anyway besides changing the pump, can anyone tell me what else is reccommended to change at the same time?
Thank you!
Bryan

Hoses and belts will be easy to replace during this job. Thermostat is a common replacement and so is the radiator especially on E36's. Coolant.

Thanks for the quick reply. Since its a timing chaing and not a belt, was figuring there was a few things to replace.
Someone mentioned the timing chain tensioner which is not supposed to be a big deal.
Thanks!

I thought you were asking about things that relate to the water pump replacement, as a labor saving technique.

Timing chain tensioner is very easy to replace and on some models it is not expensive. If it is expensive though, I would not just replace it for no reason.
