1995 325is Coupe Seeks M50 Engine

Hello all, I would love to buy a great low mileage engine replacement for my engine. It has about 170,000 miles on it and it's really a slug. I would like to swap it out with an engine with some ommph and that has some snappyness. does anyone know of a site or a place where one could "shop" for an engine replacement? Thanks Jeron and the rest!

Easiest and maybe cheapest option is getting another car. Putting another used engine in it is expensive and time consuming and wont get you that much.

Or you can have you car dyno tested to see if it really is down on power and then try to diagnose and fix it.

Finally if you have your heart set on an engine swap why not put a Chevy V8 in it. The HP gain would be worth the trouble. The cost is probably in the 6k range.

lolol...never thought of that

will a Chevy bolt up pretty nicely? I can't imagine not having to do a whole lotta work to put a Chevy engine in a BMW chassis. That would be a kick in the pants though to put like a 396 in that BMW and some nice headers, glass packs and rock and roll. I'll be she'd scream in the curves. My car already corners better than any car I've ever driven. I can't believe BMW's have that ability to make a discernible difference in cornering at fifty miles an hour. well thanks and I'll think that one over.

There are at least 3 people/websites selling kits to put an LS1 in the E36.

Vorshlag.com are the latest and local to me. I haven't seen it since they finished it but they are killing everyone at the AX's. I think the 07 Oktoberfest was the debut.
