Question Where is the Stock Horn Location

I am in the process of returning the intake of an E36 325is to the stock airbox so I can pass Calif smog inspection. I would like to return the horns to the original stock position also but I can not find anything that remotely looks like a mounting point for the horns. I also can not find any mention of it in the service manual either. I know this is rarely done and there are all sorts of other ways to do this, but I just want to know where the horns were mounted when the car was new. A picture would be nice...and probably required at this point.

I moved mine to the front stud of the stock air box, but I can remember why.

I remember the stock location was lower, basically around the level of the base of the head light.

Its too cold, and late, to go look at it now. Maybe tomorrow.
