Front or Rear Shock Replacement?

If I can only replace one, would it be more important to replace the front or the rear shock first? I got no bounce in the front, whenever I hit a hole on the road, it just hit it real hard. On the rear suspension, I'd hear noises whenever I make a right turn, also, the car would slide to the right a little whenever I turn a curve at about 40mph and hit a small bump. I could feel the car lift off the ground a little and slide to the right. The curve is to the left. I would also hear a noise coming from the rear whenever I drive on the freeway, I thought it was because I hooked up the rear speakers and subwoofers incorrectly, but the noise remained after I disconnected both speakers and subwoofers, can these problems be related? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Bo

rear noise could be rear shock mount

rear slop could be RSM or RTAB (rear trailing arm bushing)

freeway noise could be tires, uneven wear from worn suspension. could also be a bearing.

I would replace all of the suspension and bushings. Based on your problems star in the rear.

The rear end is generally easier and cheaper to work with, but if your suspension is still factory original, then I would go with Jeron's advice and replace it all.

Thanks for your advice. Do I need to replace anything else beside the shock/strut? I recently changed the front stabilizer and got 4 new tires. How do I know if I need to change other parts such as the springs, mounts, etc.? Once again, thanks for your help.

I agree with Jaron.

Sounds alot like a Wheel bearing.

They make a constant growling noise.
A bad bearing will also cause the brake rotor to scub when you turn or hit bumps.

Jack the car up and see if you have any play in the wheel or noise when you spin it.
