My car dose not have turn singles. Have replaced the relay and all the fuses are good. I don't know what it can be. I need to get it fixed I can pay for a ticket for not having them.

First, double-check Fuses 23 and 34. They may look OK but still not work. Swap in fresh fuses. If that is not the problem, roll up your sleeves and:
1) Get a voltmeter. Attach the negative lead to good chassis ground near hazard flasher relay. Use ~15 volt DC scale on meter. 2) Pull hazard flasher relay , turn key on. 3) At the hazard flasher relay socket, you should see the following inputs: - Pin #2, Green wire from lever on steering column, hot when lever is in left turn position. - Pin #7, Blue wire from lever on steering column, hot when lever is in right turn position. (the turn light lever gets its power from Fuse #23) - Pin #6, Red/Black/Yellow wire from Fuse 34 should be hot all the time. - Pin #8, Brown wire should be ground. (switch meter to Ohms to measure 0 Ohms to ground) 4) If you take a jumper wire and jump from your 12 volt supply (Pin #6) to the output pins on the flasher relay socket, you should be able to make the lights illuminate: - Power to Pin #4 (Blue/Green Wire) and the left side turn lights should illuminate. - Power to Pin #5 (Blue/Brown Wire) and the right side turn lights should illuminate. Ignore pin #9. That comes from your hazard flasher switch and the airbag module. That is not important now. If the Pin #4 or #5 tests blew the fuse, you have a dead short to ground between the relay and the bulbs. You need to find the place where the wire has shorted to ground, and probably replace the flasher relay again. Whichever of these steps did not give you the required result should point toward your problem. If it passed all these tests, try another flasher relay. |
