Mysterious 4prong plug on e36 keyless entry??

Hello All,

I've read everything I can get my hands on across the net (Pelican as well as others) to find out where this four prong plug is plugged into. I'm trying to install keyless entry on my 1998 328ic (e36 production date: 10/97). I have only seen a small handful of people asking about this plug as well. Some say it's superfluous some say it's essential. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone know what this plug is supposed to plug into? Any tips on where would be appreciated too.

Just took a look at my 95' and it doesn't have that lil' bugger. What color are those wires? I can check in the Bentley manual.
