No power to the fuel pump 92 325IS
My 1992 325IS fuel pump quit working. Checked for voltage at the plug at the fuel pump, there was no voltage. I bypassed the relay and found that the pump runs and pumps fine. Checked for voltage to power the relay coil okay at 12.1VDC but relay still wouldn't activate. Manually triggered the relay okay and found closed contacts okay whenever I powered the coil. For giggles and kicks I ran a test light rather than my ohm meter to check power for the coil. No light. Checked the ground coming from the OBD and found around 52K resistance. At this point I am stumped, any help would be appreciated! Maybe a bad OBD???

Try pushing the flap on the MAF while checking for voltage. IIRC, there's a switch in there that triggers the fuel pump.

Ended up taking this to a shop. They found a bad crank positioning sensor.
