e36 suspension upgrade suggestions
Hey guys - I bought myself an 1998 316ti compact for getting back and forth to work. It's fine and all, 100 hp is all I need, but I need to be able to keep my foot in it all the time and the sloppy suspension just desn't allow me to do this.
So I need to firm things up and because I'm only here in the UK for a few years I and because the car isn't really a *keeper* I want to not spend a lot of money if you know what I mean. So..what would you all recommend? Thanks Jasper

I don't know enough about ti's to speak authoritatively buy you need:
Suspension bushings RTABS, FCABS minimum Struts and shocks That should get you back to newish handling. Then you can think about upgrades like swaybars and springs.

Jorian - dude - you're just one of the people I've not kept in contact with over the last little while I will call you soon and explain. The British concept of "doing my head in" will be explored. My apologies.
I can tell you it's not an exciting car..but I do find it interesting. It needs suspension to make up for the lack of power. You'd think I'd have a picture of it even, but alas - I haven't found the free time during daylight hours to photograph it. I'll call you.

Don't sweat it. Just giving you a rough time. The reason I saw your post was, I'm thinking of buying an 02-04 M3 Convertible as a daily driver. Was looking at the BMW side for some info. Sure is sparse compared to the Porsche side.
