Keyless Entry/Alarm Question
I have Keyless entry on my 98 328is, which has an alarm as well.
Say I leave the car, and lock the doors and arm the alarm with the remote. Then I come back to my car and the batteries are dead in the remote or I cannot unlock or disarm the car with the remote. IF I unlock the door with the key, and open the door, the alarm will sound. How do you shut it off, is there an override or something? |

In my Japanese cars in this scenario, I simply put the key in the ignition and turn it. It is not necessary to start the car, but you can. The alarm goes away.
Have you tried this approach? |
