How soon to Bed-In New Pads?

Just replaced the front rotors and new pads - solved my pulsing braking issue -previous post. Question - How soon should I perform the "bed-in" procedure? Immediately? or after 1-200 miles and the "glaze" has worn off the pads. I've never done this procedure but seems like one of those unknown secrets to better braking performance. Does this really make a difference?

Immediately I think it makes more of a difference with certain pads. In particular low dust pads due to the emphasis on adhesive braking in the material. http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp_warped_brakedisk.shtml
