Angry Resetting the ECU

Greetings,

Is there a way to reset the ECU on a 92' 325i e36 model? I got a new O2 sensor and the car hasn't been running so good. The RPM fluctuates and it seem though it only occur when cold and off the freeway ramp, occasionally at the stop lights as well. I also installed new spark plugs after it wasn't running well also.

Any ideas??

Thanks,

J

Could be the Idle control valve or a vacuum leak.

Thanks,

click on the idle control valve part on PP site and it will show you a picture where it is located.

disconnect the battery and it will reset the ecu. There is a tool you can buy but no need in this case but this is not your issue. It's the idle control valve. Replace it and you will be good as new. (177.00) part
