I have a '95 316i with no A/C. The issue is my defrost blower fan only starts after the engine gets hot.
After it starts, it works fine on any speed. But before it first starts, no matter what I do to the control knobs, it doesn't start blowing.
Should I check for the blower resistor depicted here ? Or could it be something else ?
Thanks!

I would check the blower resistor as it is easy to do. This would be a good starting point.

Thanks for the reply !
I did manage to fix the issue in the meantime.

It turned out to be an easy fix, I just had to replace the blower relay in the fuse box.

I first confirmed it was faulty by taking it out of the car and heating it up then putting it back in and turning the ignition on. When the relay was hot, the blower started right away.
So I changed the blower relay and didn't have any issues since. Hopefully my experience will help somebody else having the same problem in the future.
