have a 1997 z3 4 cyl standard trans. Will not start. Getting voltage out of the egn. switch. Can not even get the starter to turn over. Tried pushing car with egn. switch on but seems no voltage is even going to the coil or anything. Tried checking the clutch switch, the one on the bottom with the clutch all the way to the floor. Hard to check that switch though. It works with a magnet moving across chips, could not test for no. or nc.
With the key out and egn. switch off a oil change overdue still flashes across the desplay like the key is still on.

Ignition switches do fail quite a bit, and could cause the symptoms that you are experiencing. I can't tell if you've already checked the battery as well. I would replace the ignition switch to start and then go from there. Also check all the relays and the fuses in your fuse panel.
