BMW 320i (e36) (1992) engine problem

Hi,
Need some help please.
I have a BMW 320i coupe (e36) (1992) and the engine seems to be misfiring, but only when the car is stationary and has been running a while. Does not have a problem starting in any weather conditions or when driving. Just when engine is running but not moving. It has recently been serviced and have been advised that the plugs have been changed. Should i have the ignition coils changed too???? or could it be something else? is there anyway of checking?
thanks
Natasha
