DME ECU ground signal missing

My problem is my DME, which is not sending the ground signal to wire 85 on DME relay which activates injectors and fuel pump. Continuity test performed from wire 85 relay to pin connector 27 of DME is good. I'm confused if maybe It could be my aftermarket alarm installed which is having some weird behavior problems. Example, car locks sometimes when turning on car. Used to activate alarm when disconnecting battery, and would have to deactivate alarm, threw panic button since remote is also defective. When applying a ground to wire 85, car will start and run fine. What could be causing this missing ground on output stage pin 27 to wire 85 on DME relay? Bad DME?

1995 325IS
M3.3.1
EWS II

I think you should try someones DME in your car and see if that solves the issue.....Are there any other earths that you can check to ensure a good ground?

Do you have a superchip installed?

My car is according to a BMW certified mechanic, as having a chip in the key, Pelican parts marks my car as DME M3.3.1 which is EWS II. So how can I test another DME if car has to be reprogrammed again ?
To ensure good grounds I would have to know exactly what other ground is shared by the DME in pin 27 in DME connector.

Today I got my after alarm removed. Was told by many mechanics to start there. But, no luck still have to turn on car using a toggle switch to send ground to wire 85 of DME relay. Also checked output stage on DME which is pin 27 for main ctrl relay and ground was present. What am I missing ?

I think it has to be your DME.....

sounds like its a case of having a new one matched to your key fob and see how that goes?

I am currently having what sounds like the same problem with my 1995 325is. Ran fine, parked the car next day no fuel pump. Getting spark, confirmed with starter fluid. Looks like missing DME signal.

So, what did your issue turn out to be?

Thanks
