BMW Roundel 1986 bmw 325e

I have a 1986 325E. I replaced the fuel pumps and I am now having problems with power to the injectors. Check the injector temp switch at the thermostat housing and it is good. Checked for voltage at injectors, No voltage. I will attempt the relay. Looks like there is three under a cover as I follow the injector wires. Is there a way to check the relay without taking it apart and which one of the three under the cover is the fuel injector relay. When I installed the fuel pumps did I fail to connect a vital wire? All two fuel pumps are working. My Reference Sensor crumbled before my eyes could this cause my injectors to not get power?

Describe what you mean by "reference sensor" If you mean the cam position sensor, then yes, the car will not run without it.

Thank you, It's part of that package. There is a speed sensor and there is a reference sensor. they are connected up to the Trany bell housing. I thought It may be the problem but I didn't think it would cut the power to the fuel injectors. I did look at a diagram and the wires (fuel injectors ) goes to the computer so I' am guessing your right. I will purchase a new one and see what happens. I am sure it must be it since the vehicle started prior to the fuel pump changing. This is when the sensor crumbled.
Thank for the help. I may be back.

It sounds like you are refering to the crank position sensor( Sometimes refered to as the pulse sensor on older models). If so, the fuel pump will only run for a second or two when you turn the key on, then it will not come back on if the ECM does not get a signal from the crank sensor that the engine is turning.

Yep, it needs that sensor for the engine to run.
