update on purchase
Well we bought the 323i, 2000 model, sport package. It's great fun.
Does anyone understand the warranty distinction between what is covered on the 36,000 mile versus 50,000 mile coverage? I wanted to get a minor bumper scrape checked out but think that since we just turned 44,000 it won't be covered.

I dont think they cover any body work. If it is a BMW Pre-Certified car, the warrenty extends for 5 year/100K miles. They will cover alot of thing such as seat motors, the window switches,O2 sensors and other expensive whirring bits. I believe that law requires car manufactures to cover some of the emission equipment for 100k.
