I have a 1997 bmw 138i. it died on me one night wheni was driving and the collant level was up to the red sidehot. There was a lot of smoke coming from the hood. Now it cranks and wont start start. I replaced the fuel pump and its still the same. Can you please help me figure what I need done to get it back to normal? thanks

If your vehicle over heated, check to see if the head gasket has failed. This will prevent your engine from starting if coolant is entering the combustion chambers.
