Hi, Congratulations on an awsome and informative site.
Would appreciate any advice on following problem:'95 318is 2 door, M42,5sp. When driving, fuel and temp gauges suddenly read zero and brake lights not working. Engine continues running until turned off. When key inserted and tried to restart, the starter does not operate/will not crank engine, temp and fuel gauges read zero, all other warning lights, service indicator, etc work OK, all light up then go out as normal. Leave car for a period 10 minutes - 1 day, then restarts ok only to have above fault return. New Battery and volts ok. Does Pelican sell diagnostic hardware/ software or only spares? Hi. Steve again. Found problem. Intermittant battery supply from ignition switch to connector under fuse box in engine bay. This battery supply fed brake lights, immobiliser etc. Thanks, Steve - Nick |
