Hi I've got a e36 compact and I've got a little problem when the car is flat cold overnight start motor select D and she holds the gear till 3000 rpm to 3500 rpm then selects 2nd very aggressively also E mode fault if you select sport or manual modes it will not go back to E unless you turn ignition off for couple of minutes the car has just had full service including trans filter and fluid dexton3 fluid any advice plz :- car only covered 42k

Check the transmission control module and DME for fault codes using a BMW scan tool. There may be fault codes associated with yuor problem.
Also check that your fluid level is correct. - Nick |
