I just bought a 2008 535i ,and when i start it up the seat belt light goes on so i connect the seat belt and then a red triangle with a question mark goes for a few minutes and then goes off. It's a auto -trans and it runs great. It has 54,000 miles on it so i was wondering if it's a service reminder for the cabin filters, or a number of things that need service at 50,000 miles.

in the owners manual it should tell you what the different lights in the dash mean and or you can get them online. You should also have a maintenance schedule book outlining what service work is done at 50,000mi
