have a 94 740i and im trying to install a kedwood kdcbt42u?

I have a 94 740i and im trying to install a kedwood kdcbt42u the previous owner had installed the metra harness via cutting and soldering the factory wires to the adapter wires all correctly bit the acc wire has no power so i used a inline fuse and ran it to the memory wire but the kenwood still doesnt power on whatsoever the harness has all the speaker wires both power wires the ground wire the orange illumi wire and a power control wire darkblue and white the ant control wire med blue and white and steering wheel remote input light blue and of course the brwn mute wire. on the back of the metra theres a dark blue and white wire but its been cut what do i need to do so the unit will work
