You mention 3/8 Torx socket for the largest bolts on the top of the transmission. I am preparing to remove my automatic trans for the first time and am running to the parts store tomorrow. What size Torx? Is that internal or external?

I would get a set with E8 - E14, that should cover all of the trans bolts.
