I have buy a 328I 1998 when I push the open button, the top unlock, roog start lifting but stop after 8 inchs apprx, the covert do not seems to lift, I have try to pull the arm below rear seat but nothing chance and the sunis shining, nabors look at me and I am frustrated may-be you can help, I try to read other post but do not find a trouble like the one I got. Thanks for helping

Is the motor still running when the top stops? There could be a problem with the motor, it could be stripped and unable to continue to open the top.
