I have a 740iA 2000 model and it is double vanos with water alternator. the dashboard shows engine failsafe prog. few seconds after starting the engine and when this happens the acceleration is delayed for few seconds and throttle pedal seems not to work at all until few seconds after. I have changed the throttle sensor and the throttle pedal too. but problem still persist. car isn't really pleasurable driving when the engine failsafe prog displays on the dashboard but if it doesn't come up, car accelerates perfectly

The Fail Safe message likely relates to your transmission. I would start by performing a full vehicle scan to determine what control module has fault codes stored.
