If I change the water pump on my car do I need to also change the thermostat? The diagnostic code came back water pump needing repaired but nothing about the thermostat. It is a 2006 BMW 330i.

You might as well, as they are installed close together. I always leave it up to the person paying the bill, as it can add some cost. If you can, do both.
