Hi I replaced my fuel pump on 02 mini Cooper s using aftermarket it was not the whole assembly I had to take old assembly apart..tricky part was removing the hose off the old pump I got it off bit worn an used hose clamp seems ok now car won't crank at first start will start on next turn this happens when car is sitting for more then 8 hrs?

Sounds like your system is not holding pressure. You may have an issue with the installation of the new pump. I would double check your work.
