Hi I have a e36 318is 1996, my fuel gauge keeps changing, I have a half tank and it jumps to full then low but stays there for abit, we'll I can tell there is a fault is this te fuel sender? Thanks neil

You can disconnect the fuel level sender. The gauge should read empty. Then ground the sender signal wire, then the tank should read full.
