1988 flooding out wont run
I have a 1988 325i convertible which starts immediately when cold and runs pretty smoothly for 3 or 4 minutes then it dies. I pull the air hose off the valve body and gasoline is pouring out....about 2 or 3 tablespoons. It will not restart then because it acts flooded out. The check engine light does not work, I presume because the recharable batteries must be shot. I would like to purchase a cheap codereader if soneone would tell me where to find one. I have checked the temperture sensor and it reads in correct range for ohmms of resistance both hot and cold. Could the oxygen sensor cause this? The car has rarely been started in the last 5 years, just to move it to mow from time to time, but it is good shape otherwise. Somebody help me. Please>
