Hello! My 1997 318is stalled on the highway today, and wouldn't restart. I found a blown fuel pump fuse - replacing it allowed the car to start and run for a few more miles, after which the fuse blew AGAIN. This cycle occurred 3 times before I finally called for a tow. It was a hot day today, well over 90 degrees, and I'm thinking that the fuel pump may have developed a problem from overheating. Does this sound like a reasonable guess? Thanks alot!

COuld be a short in the fuel pump or the wiring harness. Before replacing the fuel pump, check the wiring for shorts.
