I have a 1991 318iC with an air bag.
Is there a way to removing the steering wheel without blowing up the airbag? I noticed that there is a plug under the column. Would it be enough to unplug to start taking the front of the steering wheel to get to the 22mm nut? __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here: |

Yes, disconnect the battery and follow the correct procedure. I would grab a repair manual. It will have the procedure, special tools and torque specs.
