my mate has an 2002 Plate E46 M3, with a Multi changer in the boot and a casette in the head unit. He bought a Aux lead to plug into the back of the head unit in the right hand port after seeing it work on my 05 plate 3 series to plug an ipod into.
Long story short, when he plugged it in, it didn't bring up Aux in the display and didn't work. Is the easiest way to solve the problem to buy a newer head unit? There is a radio software limitation for an aux input. I thought it was 43 or 53. i forget, been a while.
