Exhaust Tip Extensions
I am trying to put on chrome exhaust tips on my 1998 323ic. The two are diferent sizes. Is this correct? Are there any suggestions on how to put these on? There are also screws in the bottome of each tail tip. What are these for?
Thanks, Mike |

Yes two sizes are correct. If you look at your stock exhaust, there is a shorter tip and a longer tip. You'll see once you look. These just slip over them and that little screw goes on the bottom and is used to hold on the chrome units. Slip 'em on, screw 'em down and that's it.
About a 2 minute job. Not even a 1 beer or wine job. Less. (Everything has it's pros/cons.) Mike '98 328iC Nashville (w/ stock black tips) |

The exhaust tips also vary according to which engine you have, and which year it is (as I have found out)...

The screw has a square nut that attaches on the inside if the exhaust tip. How do I tighten it?
