Smile Question on replacing door actuator & lock

Hello,
I have a 1992 325i convertible for about 3 years, it came with an aftermarket remote to unlock the doors. It stopped working about 6 months ago, There is something stuck in the driver lock and I have never been able to unlock the driver door manually. BMW service said something probably broken off in the cylinder and I should just get the remote fixed. So, took it to stereo place and they did a diagnostic test and said remote is working as it should, did not detect any faults with remote, they said it was probably door actuator. So, since I like to fix things myself, i ordered 2 actuators. In the meantime I am dissembling the door. I removed panel, do I have to remove the window regulator to reach the old actuator? I see 3 screws on door jam, looks like i need a torc wrench ? (not sure of spelling) do these 3 need to be removed? Is the cylinder lock and actuator going to come out in one piece, looks like it is all connected, would love to see if I could get the lock unstuck so key would fit. Or purchase a new cylinder just for driver door so I could at least lock and unlock the car instead of going to passenger side. I guess I would have 3 keys then, 1 for driver door, 1 would open passenger and trunk and the 3rd key is ignition. Does that sound right? I would really like to fix this myself , any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you
