i was re[lacing the hose from the idle control valve to the intake boot and noticed the valve was loose it moves. what do i have to do to put it back into the manifold.?

What vehicle are you working on? On some models, the valve presses into a bushing, then is held in with a bracket, bolted to the intake. Check those items.
