Guys (Girls?)
I changed forum's, owned 911 SC, 3.2 Carrera and 993 targa. Now I bought a 1998 M3. Wow! More power, less comfort (who cares) fantastic car!!!! ![]() ![]() On Volkswagen/Audi you can use VAG.com to manipulate allmost all computerized functions in the car. I am looking for a simular tool for my M3, I know carsoft:carsoft, but is very expensive. OBD-Scantool is OK but nothing BMW specific. Let me know if you have any info. Maarten

Cool ride. What are you trying to do with the software? I'm not familiar with the VAG software, perhaps you can clue me in as to what exactly it does. Is it primarily maintainance, or can you modify performance characteristics?

I am trying to get acces to all the car's control units. Just like BMW's MODIC does. Enables you to configure your car's comfort locks, service manager etc etc. Check out carsoft , also you can see live graphs of DME data and log these for trouble shooting or streetdyno purpuses.
Apperantly people have hacked their interface so if you find a copy of the carsoft software, you're in business. The interface is described at e34.de (German) Carsoft is to expensive for home-use, The VAG stuff is excellent. Ciao, Maarten
