hi, not too long ago i bought a 95 m3 engine with a manual tranny for my bmw compact and i removed all the bolts around the tranny to remove it and wiggled and pulled till i almost got a heart attack trying to pull the friggin tranny off. i have sourced the internet asked mechanics and still no resolve. its kinda halfway off to the point i can see the flywhell/cluth fyi.

If the starter and all of the bell housing bolts have been removed, there may be rust on the input shaft, binding the clutch disc.
