I have an 89 E30 325i. Need to replace the Coolant Temperature Sensor.
I've read elsewhere that you need to first "drain some coolant", before removing the sensor. Unfortunately it never mentions how MUCH you need to drain ... any clue? Or, since THIS^^ howto doesn't mention draining it at all, do you have to drain any? __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here: Pelican Technical Article: BMW E30 Coolant Temp Sensor Replacement |

Normally, drain the coolant until the level in the radiator is lower than the sensor. Then no coolant should leak out.
