I have 318i e36 my fuel gauge started not working properly after an attempt accident and my speedometer, my fuel gauge always stays on full even no fuel,i tried replacing the crash sensor still no response what to be the problem.

Could be an issue with the instrument cluster or the sending unit. Try unplugging the fuel level sender, if the level goes to empty, the problem is with the sender. If not, the problem is likely the cluster.
