Hi. Bmw service centre just replaced my rocket cover gasket and the fuel consumption gauge is not working properly. It is working completely opposite way it should be. They told me they only replaced the whole gasket and got nothing to do with the gauge. I am wondering if the replacement of gasket could cause this problems by pulling any wires, sensors or connections to the gauge?

Unlikely, the gasket should not affect the fuel level sender. Likely a separate problem.

Can you post year and model 3-series that you have? By opposite, do you mean that it's reporting that it's full when it's low and it's low when it's full?
